As one of its most important voter education efforts, the League of Women Voters of Central New Mexico will conduct two candidate forums for local races on the Valencia County November 2022 general election ballots. These forums will be conducted via Zoom Webinar on:

Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. and

Monday, October 3, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

The September 28 forum will include separate question and answer sessions for (1) New Mexico State Representative District 8; (2) Valencia County Sheriff; and (3) Valencia County Magistrate Judges, Divisions 1, 2 and 3.

The October 3 forum will include separate question and answer sessions for (1) New Mexico State Representative District 7; (2) Valencia County Assessor; (3) Valencia County Commissioners Districts 1 and 3; and (4) Valencia County Probate Judge.

The League is accepting questions for the candidates for both forums from community members at lwvcnmforum.questions@gmail.com.

League members will review and vet all questions submitted and forward them to the League forum moderator for use at her sole discretion.

No one but League members will see the questions in advance of the forum. No questions will be taken during the forums themselves. Please submit questions as soon as possible.

Persons interested in attending the forums must register separately for each forum.
