As I watched the Democratic National Convention tonight, I cried.
I cried for 4 years of grief from a Trump administration, whose effects still linger, that was geared towards punishing women, LGBTQ2IA+ people, People of Color, and everyday people for the crime of wanting better for themselves, their families, and their communities.
I cried for the cruelty and hatred a Trump administration has left as a wound upon this country during his time in office and the division that has arisen between neighbors as a result.
I NEVER thought I would live to see a woman vice president, let alone presidential nominee. 2016 happened and was a huge blow. But progress NEVER stops, even when stalled.
It is time for the USA to elect Kamala Harris to presidential office.
It is time to elect her to save our country, quite literally.
DEMOCRATS care about our neighbors.
DEMOCRATS care about our communities.
DEMOCRATS care about families.
DEMOCRATS care about LBGTQ2IA+ people.
DEMOCRATS care about reproductive freedom.
DEMOCRATS care about creating a world for families and people, not corporations and shareholders.
DEMOCRATS care about bodily autonomy and the right to LIFE LIBERTY and the PURSUITOF HAPPINESS for ALL Americans.
Our families are suffering from corporate price gouging, tax breaks and bank bailouts for wealthy investors, long hours with little pay, no time to spend with family, and many are hungry, tired, and burnt out.
A Harris-Walz administration WILL usher in a new era of prosperity for the American people. We are ONE people, ONE country moving forward towards a brighter future for all Americans, now and in the future.
