The Republican Party of Valencia County attempted to block our Sheriff candidate, Rodney Jones from the ballot. In March, Michael Candelaria, Chair of the Republican Party of Valencia County, took Rodney to District Court where Judge James Sanchez made a sound ruling: Rodney has the right to be on the ballot and we have the right to vote for him.
But that wasn’t good enough for Mr. Candelaria, he took his case to the New Mexico Supreme Court.

The New Mexico Supreme Court has upheld the District Court’s ruling. Rodney Jones will be on the ballot, he has the right to run for Valencia County Sheriff, and the citizens of Valencia County have a choice!
