When women participate meaningfully in our community, it results in real gains for democracy. This includes greater responsiveness to citizen needs, increased collaboration across party and ethnic lines, and a more workable future.
The Valencia County Federation of Democratic Women (VCFDW) is a local organization where we can independently act and participate with the Democratic Party of Valencia County (DPVC). In addition, our personal values and belief systems play an important role in volunteering and engaging in our local politics. This means your involvement matters, not just for the VCFDW, but also for society at large. We can continue to do the good work by renewing our membership this October and seriously consider a leadership position.
As Chair of the Nominating Committee, I ask that you self-nominate for one of the following offices: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. I have attached the VCFDW Bylaws so that you may review the description of each office. To self-nominate, please email me stating the position you are running for, along with a short bio.
