The DPVC has 3 standing committees that are prescribed by the DPNM rules. The first is made up of our 12 Ward Chairs and is the County Credentials and Rules Committee. Each Ward can elect one person to serve on our County Platform and Resolutions Committee. When Convention time comes around then one person from each Ward is elected to serve on the Convention Credentials and Rules Committee. If you are interested in learning more about these committees you can find more information on DPNM’s website.

In addition, we also have our own Committees that are ALWAYS looking for folks with dedication, skills, time, and energy to share. Take a look below and see if any of them interest you and then let us know if you’d like to join!

Fundraising and Events Committee

We all know how important it is to get and keep Democrats in office. In order to do the work it takes, we have to fundraise. This committee is crucial in keeping the DPVC running.

Communications Committee

Keeping everyone updated on all of the news and events going on is a full-time job and our Communications Committee tackles it head-on. Texting, phone calls, emails, newsletter, social media, and our website, they use every outlet available to keep Valencia Count informed.

Candidate Recruitment Committee

Turning Valencia County blue starts with finding qualified candidates to run in our local and statewide elections. Our Candidate Recruitment Committee is always on the lookout for folks that would make great politicians but it doesn’t end their. They also help the candidates throughout the campaign process.

Election Day Workers/Volunteers Committee

Election day workers and volunteers are vital to ensuring a free and fair election takes place. Access to polling places, recieving accurate information, and being able to cast a vote are rights that every voter deserves and having Democratic party election workers at each polling place is a way to ensure they are enforced. This committee seeks out, secures, and trains elections workers and volunteers.

Voter Registration Committee

One of the most vital things we can do as a party is to make sure that every citizen of voting age is registered to vote and then follows through to do so. This is a full-time coordinated effort and our Voter Registration Committee works on many fronts year-round.

DPVC Rules Committee

The DPVC has the ability to set its own rules that are complementary to the DPNM but work well for our unique needs as a more rural county. The DPVC Rules Committee is charged with drafting these rules and presenting them to the DPVC.
